Arts Alive promoters and audiences just can’t get enough of award-winning singer, songwriter and composer Louise Jordan and her brilliant show No Petticoats Here, inspired by historical stories of women in the First World War.

Through songs, storytelling and images, No Petticoats Here tells of the inspirational women who lived during WW1 and challenged expectations. From the woman who dressed as a soldier on the Western Front to the women football players banned by the FA, the ambulance drivers running the gauntlet of enemy fire in Flanders and the so-called ‘surplus million’ single women, Louise acknowledges and celebrates inspirational women, working in a time of conflict and leaving a legacy for future generations. The show is suitable age 12+

Louise Jordan has toured the UK gaining fantastic feedback from reviewers and audiences alike: “A gutsy and meticulously researched project” Songlines; “If my history teacher taught me stories like that, I would definitely listen!” Josie, age 14
