A NEW pre-school has been officially opened in a village northwest of Hereford.
More than 140 students, staff, parents and visitors gathered at Stretton Sugwas Church of England Academy to open its "New-Bees" pre-school.
Work on the new pre-school started before the summer and ended just before the start of term in September and allows the school to cater for children aged two to four as well.
Four years ago the school built two new classrooms to increase the capacity of the school at that time.
Headteacher Alex Davies said: “The growth and progress that the school has made in the last few years has been outstanding. It’s a reflection on everyone involved in our school community that we’re in the healthy position to build and-importantly- maintain pupil numbers."
