LADS Club Ladies kept their Midwest Counties title charge going strong as they took a 2-0 victory of local rivals Bartestree.

After weathering some early attacks from the visitors it was Lads Club who came through strongly and took a 33rd minute lead when Sarah Bishop ran onto a ball over the top and fired into the bottom corner.

Mel Mayo went close to doubling their first half lead but saw her free-kick saved by Zoe Boucher.

The second goal came two minutes before half-time when Emily Morgan fired home through a crowded box.

Lads Club saw out the second half and Becky Gummery almost increased their lead but saw her effort deflected over.

Across the city, Hereford Women returned to winning ways in emphatic style by coming from behind twice to take a 3-2 victory thanks to a Roxana Dinescu hat-trick.

Cookley Sport Ladies arrived at Old School Lane unbeaten and took a first half lead.

However, Dinescu pulled a goal back from a corner only for the visitors to net again moments later to take a 2-1 lead into half-time.

The visitors saw a free-kick rattle off the bar after the break as they looked to seal the victory.

However, it was Hereford who were levelled on 62 minutes when Jess Kenny played a ball into the box and Dinescu ran on and fired home.

With 15 minutes remaining Dinescu completed the come-back from the penalty spot.

Hereford defended well to see out the win with Nicole Sullivan making a last-ditch tackle to deny the visitors.
