Lovers of Old Time Appalachian music will be delighted to hear that two of its finest exponents are returning to perform locally. Their last performance in Presteigne in 2016 was a hugely popular event.

Married in life and in music, Erynn Marshall and Carl Jones are old-time musicians and tunesmiths from Galax, Virginia, which is nestled in the beautiful music-steeped Blue Ridge Mountains. Sweet Appalachian song duets, and powerful fiddle, guitar, banjo and mandolin tunes fill their sets. They have won many prestigious awards for their instrumental skills, and their original material has been recorded by a whole host of internationally famous artists. This is champion fiddler Erynn's second visit to Mid Wales but Carl will be well known to many of you for his unique sense of humour and from his memorable concerts over the years

Come along and see them on Saturday, November 3 at 7.30pm in St Andrews Church Hall, Presteigne. The concert organisers are aiming to raise funds for the Presteigne Community Performance Barn. This is a beautiful intimate venue so booking is advisable. Tickets cost £10 and can be booked in advance by calling either 01544 350407, 01547 528315.
