Arts Alive works mainly with village halls but loves to put shows in other community spaces ... like libraries.
Library Lion is adapted by Untied Artists from the award-winning children’s book by Michelle Knudsen, published by Candlewick.
Everyone knows rules have to be followed, especially in libraries. No running allowed. And you must be quiet. But what would happen if a lion came to your storytime? There aren’t any rules about lions are there? This beautiful story invigorates an endangered species - the local library - with songs, laughter, lots of joining in, and maybe even a big furry hug. But no roaring!
Library Lion invites children aged 4 – 7 and their parents and carers to enjoy this ‘live’ version of a much-loved book. Catch the friendly lion – and have fun choosing some books – at Leominster Library, at 10.30am on Friday, November 2 (call 01432 383290 to book or at the library desk) and at Belmont Library (Community Centre Hall) at 2.30pm on Friday, November 2 (to book, call 01432 383295 or at the library desk). Visit artsalive.co.uk for online bookings.
