As part of The Courtyard’s Herefordshire Family Festival, The Makeshift Ensemble present The Children in the Moon on Thursday, November 1.

The MakeShift Ensemble started life in 2005 developing physical exploration of folk tales from around the globe; employing mask, puppetry and authentic language to bring the stories to culturally diverse audiences.

The Children in the Moon is MakeShift Ensemble’s latest production, telling the story of Zack and Lil using hand-crafted puppets and a larger-than-life travelling tea machine which brews fabulous stories.

Alongside the puppets are two nomadic storytellers, who introduce the stories and nurture the yarns as they unravel. The MakeShift Ensemble, with their distinct and compelling style, aim to both discover and celebrate the wonderful things that make us different and the ties that bind the human family together.

A wonderfully visual and original take on centuries-old children’s verse, packed with puppetry and live music, this is an ideal show for all the family.

The Children in the Moon will be in The Courtyard’s Studio Theatre on Thursday, November 1 at 11am. To book, call the box office on 01432 340555 or visit courtyard.org.uk
