Hereford Chamber Choir, directed by Simon Harper, is giving a concert of words and music on the theme of eventide at 7.30 pm on Saturday 27 October in St. Francis Xavier's Church in Broad Street.
The programme will feature an eclectic and varied selection of music, including pieces by Tallis, Elgar, Holst, Britten, Rheinberger and Whitacre. The choir will be joined by actor Tim Bannerman who will lead the reading of some poems to complement the music.
This concert will also see the launch of the Friends of Hereford Chamber Choir, a scheme which will offer audience members an opportunity to support the choir further and make a valued contribution to the arts in Herefordshire.
