A FOUR-year-old from Pembridge will be explaining to an American audience how to make the perfect fish finger sandwich.

Simon Wild filmed a video about how to make crispy fish fingers featuring his son, Dylan.

The film-maker and photographer from Photopia, a studio in Pembridge, has had his video selected for the Food Film Festival in New York City.

Simon’s video will be shown at the AMC Empire in New York on October 28 as part of the four-day festival.

The video shows how the coating of the fish fingers is made from crushed crisps.

Viewers will eat the crispy fish fingers while watching the video of Dylan making the recipe.

Simon, 37, who works with wife, Becca, 34, said: “We love shooting food and ‘Chef Dylan’ has always been with us in the studio whenever possible.

"We even took him to India when he was eight months old, as we followed an Indian chef around her hometown of Hyderabad for a project retracing her roots that she was working on.

"He loves to try different foods and has pretty varied culinary interests, but fish fingers are a classic and a long standing favourite with us and his friends."

The Food Film Festival specialises in creating multi-sensory food and film experiences.

The official selections for this festival have become the benchmark of independent food-filmmaking as an art form.
