Talking about his new touring show Between You and Me on his Radio 3 programme The Verb, poet, broadcaster and comedian Ian McMillan mentioned that he wanted to visit as many village halls around the country as possible. Jonathan Hopkinson who lives on the outskirts of Leintwardine in North Herefordshire was listening and contacted a member of the Community Centre and the gig for Friday, October 19 at 7.30pm was booked the very next day.

In Between You and Me, McMillan and Olympic composer Luke Carver Goss present a hilarious night of words, music and breath-taking comedy, featuring songs, stories and a musical created out of thin air!

Bard of Barnsley Ian McMillan hosts weekly hit radio show The Verb, and is poet-in-residence for Barnsley FC, The Academy of Urbanism and, until recently, English National Opera. He is a regular on BBC Breakfast, Pointless Celebrities, Coast, Countryfile, Pick of the Week, Last Word, The Yorkshire Dales and The Lakes (C4).
