ROSS-on-Wye Town Council has agreed to spend more than £2,500 on new Christmas tree lights for Gloucester Road.
The lights will go on trees in the street and the cost was earmarked in the council's budget.
The Community, Markets and Tourism Committee also resolved to go and look at a ten-metre Christmas tree which was being offered to the town free-of-charge for the spot by the Market House.
Last year residents were less than impressed by the untidy Christmas tree in the town.
Committee members asked that the project officer and sites manager go and look at the tree to see if it was suitable to accept.
