LEDBURY did London with its own version of the Last Night of the Proms performed in stunning style by the Ledbury Community Brass Band playing to a full house at the Ledbury Market Theatre.

The brass band saw members of the audience dressed in fancy attire and hats, enthusiastically entering into the spirit of the Proms by creating a sea of fluttering union flags.

The popular programme including Jerusalem, Amazing Grace, the National Anthem, Land of Hope and Glory which was led by soloist Bridget Snasdell, had music fans singing and applauding. Musical director Colin Herbert who gave a solo performance playing the Euphonium, clearly enjoying every moment, commented that the band was formed in 2010 and has gone from strength to strength.

Appearing at many of Ledbury's public events such as the Ledbury Carnival, Remembrance Sunday and other community occasions the band enjoys the continued support of music lovers everywhere.

There will be another opportunity to hear the band at the Ledbury Market Theatre as they stage a Christmas Special on Sunday, December 16 at 7.30pm.
