Aur Cymru Welsh Gold present Made in Wales at The Courtyard this October.
Showcasing the talents of Phylip Harries (the saxophone-playing dame from the last two Courtyard pantos), Lowri-Ann Richards, Llinos Daniel and Sean Williams, Made in Wales is a celebration of Wales and Welshness through the medium of poetry and music.
Performed in Welsh and English (with translations in each case) and featuring the work of some of Wales’ finest poets, writers and musicians, the show takes the audience on a journey through a Wales of passion and beauty, of lament and rapture, of anger and pain, of yesterday and tomorrow. A Wales of words and music.
Distinguished poet and performer Clare E Potter says of the production: “Each of the artists is highly talented within his discipline; together, they are dynamite. The rapport between them is palpable and the performance is seamless. World-class.”
With an extensive mixture of serious and light-hearted poetry underscored by atmospheric soundscapes and powerful musical performances, this ‘intensely theatrical’ production is not to be missed.
Made in Wales will be in The Courtyard’s Studio Theatre on Friday, October 5 at 7.45pm. To book call the box office on 01432 340555 or visit www.courtyard.org.uk.
