WE have extended the deadline for our Food and Drink Awards 2018 until October 10.

We want as many producers and businesses to enter as possible which is why we added another two weeks on to the entry timeframe.

So now is the time to enter yourself in our awards which celebrate all of the amazing food and drink our beautiful county has to offer.

We are particularly looking for entrants in the following categories: Best Brewer, Best Butcher, Best Dairy Producer, Best Independent Food and Drink Retailer, and Best Farm Shop.

Do you know someone who should enter one of these categories? Then point them in the direction of the dedicated section of our website: herefordtimes.com/awards/foodanddrink/

It doesn’t take long to enter and there are approximately five or six questions to answer.

We are also, of course, looking for more entrants in our other categories which are: Best Cider Producer, Best Restaurant or Dining Pub, Best Cafe or Tearoom, Community Pub of the Year, Best Drinks Product (not cider/beer/ales), and Best Food Producer (non dairy).

We have adjusted the criteria in some of the categories so if you looked before and thought you didn’t fit the criteria, then now is the time to look again.

We have had some brilliant entries so far and we will showcase more of these next week.

There really is so much to celebrate in Herefordshire - from amazing fruit and vegetables, independent brewers both large and small, dedicated butchers and passionate restaurateurs.

These awards are for all of you who work so hard to keep the county, and beyond, well fed. Thank you to our sponsors: Hereford Butter Market, Royal Three Counties Show, NFU Mutual, Wobbly Brewing Company, Duchy of Cornwall, Tanners Wines and British Cassis (White Heron).
