  • ROLLING MATCH REPORT
  • Callum Sainty made a late goal-line clearance to earn Hereford a replay at Truro City on Wednesday night.
  • After a solid opening the first chance came for Hereford on 15 minutes as Jamie Bird struck his free-kick powerfully at the goalkeeper.
  • Playing in midfield Kieran Thomas saw his 20th minute goal disallowed after Bird crossed to new signing Marlon Jackson who was judged to have fouled the goalkeeper as he headed down to Thomas.
  • The Bulls best chance came three minutes later as Thomas threaded through new signing Marlon Jackson with the forward forcing a save from the goalkeeper down low.
  • The visitors who offered little during the first half tried to respond and Connor Riley-Lowe crossed onto the boot of Jarred Lewington who fired well over.
  • Hereford kept probing and almost forced the opener with Lance Smith playing a searching ball into the box which was put wide of his own goal by Alex Hartridge.
  • Thomas was also lively in the second half and minutes after the break the full-back turned midfielder saw his effort zip just wide from long range.
  • City's best chance came eight minutes after the break when they failed to deal with a corner and Alex Hartridge saw his free header fly over.
  • Former Newport County forward Marlon Jackson came close to a 59th minute opener but could only steer Bird's cross wide inside the box.
  • Bird was also providing a threat for Hereford and his cross come shot was just tipped clear of danger by Jo Jo Wollacot.
  • Callum Sainty came to Hereford's rescue a minute before full-time as Martin Horsell made in initial save before the ball fell to Connor Riley-Lowe at the back post only for Sainty to make a flying block.
  • In the fifth minute of injury time Mike McGrath went close for Hereford sliding his shot towards the bottom corner but a lack of power in his shot allowed the goalkeeper to save.
