A CHURCH in Hereford is looking for a name for their new commemorative suffragette.
St Martin's Church received the commemorative figure from Councillor Chris Chappell.
She will soon be on display on the rectory gate on Ross Road to remember the suffragettes who fought for women's right to vote in public elections.
The church is running a competition to name her after an inspiring local woman and are asking for nominations.
Send your nominations with stories and pictures (pictures can be photographs or artwork) to joanne.child@hereford.anglican.org or send them via St Martin's Church Facebook page with the hashtag #southwyestories #southwyewomen.
All the stories and pictures will eventually be displayed in the church. There will be a prize for the winning nominee.
On September 15, St Martin's Church will be hosting a wedding fair and car boot.
