TODAY marks 25 years since the devastating Sun Valley fire.

On September 6, 1993 a massive blaze destroyed part of Hereford's Sun Valley poultry plant.

David Morris, aged 35, a fulltime firefighter with 11 years' service with the city brigade died alongside his 34-year-old part-time colleague, leading firefighter John Davies of Leominster

Colleagues braved fierce heat, gases and the risk of further blasts as they fought to free them from the ruins of the Corbett Block.

Leominster Fire Station tweeted the following:

The county's fire service held an internal remembrance event.
