In an exceptional partnership with Orchestra of the Swan and The Courtyard, Arts Alive is thrilled to present the first of a series of classical music concerts in local, rural venues throughout the county.

Orchestra of the Swan is helping celebrate The Courtyard’s 20th anniversary with a year-long residency, as part of which they will bring concerts of music from the Baroque to the 20th century to four lucky rural communities. The series starts in September and continues until June 2019.

The orchestra is based in Stratford on Avon (hence the name) and is Associate Orchestra at Town Hall Birmingham. It plays over 45 concerts annually, in the west midlands, the UK generally and internationally from China to Mexico and the USA, and has made a number of very successful recordings.

To open the ‘Rural Touring’ series, Orchestra of the Swan plays '8 Seasons, 2 Hemispheres,' in which Baroque meets sizzling tango in a concert of music from the old and new worlds, spanning two hundred years from Vivaldi to Piazzolla. A wonderful way to liven up as the nights start to draw in!

The concert takes place on Friday, September 14 at 7.30pm at the Steiner Academy in Much Dewchurch. For tickets, call 01981 540221 or visit www.artsalive.co.uk to book online.
