A SIXTY-year-old sustained serious injuries after being struck by a car near Ledbury.
The collision happened just outside the town on the A417 at 9.30pm last Friday.
West Mercia Police said a Mazda MX-5 Sport Convertible was traveling east from Ledbury towards the M50 when it was in collision with a 60-year-old pedestrian on the carriageway.
The Mazda sustained a damaged windscreen. An ambulance attended and the pedestrian was taken to hospital in Birmingham.
The road was closed to allow emergency services to attend the scene.
Anyone who saw the incident is asked to contact police on 101.
