A HEREFORD car park will be closed for 10 days.
The Station Approach site will be shut from August 28 to September 7 so that intrusive ground surveying can take place.
The surveys are required to inform development options for the site that are being prepared by the county council’s development and regeneration partner, Engie, prior to any formal decision being made on its future use. Users of the car park are advised to park nearby at Merton Meadow and Bus Station car parks, and allow extra time for their journeys if necessary.
Season ticket holders for Station Approach car park will be permitted to use Merton Meadow during this time.
Councillor Barry Durkin, cabinet member transport and regulatory services, said: “We would like to apologise for any inconvenience to Hereford’s residents, businesses and visitors that this necessary car park closure may bring and to thank them for their understanding.
"There is sufficient alternative parking available nearby, but we encourage car park users to allow additional time for their journeys.”
