THE River Wye came alive with music and brightly coloured inflatables last weekend, as Wye Float returned to Hereford for a second successful year.
Bad weather did not dampen the event, as hundreds of revellers arrived at Hereford Rowing Club with inflatable crafts ranging from giant rubber ducks to handmade rafts.
Music was provided by young up and coming talent and the event supported three charities: Hope Support Services, West Mercia Search and Rescue and Hereford Youth Canoe Club.
Organisers Edward and Matt Taylor, said: "Wye Float would like to thank our official sponsor Silver Dragon Chinese, Chilton Square Hereford and all our other sponsors who donated, helped us to purchase safety equipment and other necessities.
"The team are currently finalising the total money raised for each charity and taking a well-earned break ready for out next event in 2019."
Organisers also paid tribute to the army of volunteers who cleaned up the river route and ensured the day ran smoothly.
