A FATHER killed himself after living with anxiety and depression for years, an inquest has heard.

Peter Troy of Banners Cottage, Ross on Wye, died on May 10 this year, aged 57.

Medical evidence read out at at Herefordshire Coroner's Court detailed how Mr Troy had been treated for a panic disorder and depression for a number of years.

Coroner Mark Bricknell recorded a conclusion of suicide.

Speaking after the inquest, Mr Troy's father-in-law Leslie Mason paid tribute to his son-in-law.

He said: "Peter was the sort of father a lot of boys would love. He was the most open and honest person I ever met."

He added: "I loved Peter, he was a great son-in-law."
