A MAN has pleaded guilty to committing burglaries to obtain alcohol and cigarettes in Kimbolton and Ross-on-Wye to fund his drug addiction.
Audie Carr, 43, of no fixed address, appeared at Hereford Magistrates Court on Wednesday, August 1.
He was charged with committing a burglary against the Stockton Cross Inn in Kimbolton where he took £300 worth of alcohol on July 14.
A second charge for burglary stated that he stole £3,500 worth of cigarettes from Gwalia Store in Ross on the same day.
He also faced a charge for the theft of £2.42 of Special Brew from the Spar in Leominster and fraud by false representation for stealing someone's bank card to purchase goods.
He pleaded guilty to all charges.
The court heard that he has 46 previous convictions, his last being in May for theft for which he received a conditional discharge.
His defence solicitor stated how Carr has struggled with drug dependency and homelessness and how he wants help.
The case has been sent to Worcester Crown Court for sentencing on August 22.
