TRACTORS of all ages made their way across the Powys countryside during the Nantmel Tractor Run.

The event near to Llandrindod Wells started last year and was organised by the Tractor Enthusiasts of Nantmel (T.E.N).

County Councillors Kelvyn Curry and David Evans were on hand to flag away John Bates at the start of the run, which raised money for Cancer Research UK.

It started from Cefnllyn Farm, Nantmel by kind permission of Alfred and Liz Lewis - Liz is the chairwoman at the Rhayader branch of Cancer Research UK.

The tractors varied in ages from vintage to modern, with participants being young and old and one even coming all the way from Ipswich.

Others came from Cheshire, the border counties of Shropshire and Herefordshire, as well as the three shires of Powys.

They toured the communities of Nantmel, Abbey Cwm-Hir, Bwlch Y Sarnau, Pantydwr and St Harmon before returning to Cefnllyn.

There was also a raffle, and a barbecue provided by Dave Connelly and assisted by Sue Williams.

The T.E.N group thanked everyone for their support and the donations received.
