AN UNBEATEN century by wicket keeper Rory Jackson maintained Goodrich’s march towards the GB Liners Marches Division One crown with a comfortable nine wickets victory over Dales.

With six games remaining wins for Luctonians and Kington kept them in the hunt but a defeat for Garnons saw their title challenge falter.

Looking for a third win on the bounce Goodrich put their hosts into bat and James O’Brien 4-26 and Joe Provis (3-28) wreaked havoc with the openers and middle order.

Dales were heading for a low score until number nine Chris Breeze added 30 and an unbeaten 46 for Ian Jones helped them to 143.

In response Jackson’s century included 10 fours and eight sixes as he was joined by Joe Griffiths (30) reaching their target after 18.1 overs.

After last week’s defeat Luctonians continued their title push with a 88 runs victory over Ross-on-Wye after setting a target of 137.

Will Maund top scored on 68 while James Platford (42) and Tom Williams (44) also contributed for Luctonians, who finished on 225-7.

After taking 3-52 with the ball Jack Donovan added a half-century with the bat for Ross-on-Wye but 3-4 bowling figures for Liam Webdale saw the hosts fall all out for 137.

Captain Sam Williams hit a huge 127 for Builth Wells as they provided an upset with a seven wicket victory over Garnons after chasing down a target of 254.

Garnons had elected to bat and built up a substantial total thanks to middle of the order Alan Jones (55), Tyler Garrard 60 and Paul Williams 49.

However, they had no response to the pairing of with Aled Powell (86no) and Williams who built up a 216 runs third wicket stand.

Kington also remain in the title chase following a 48 runs victory over Cleobury Mortimer thanks to a five-wicket haul from Ben George.

Openers Michael Green (48) and Robert Protheroe (52) helped Kington to set a target of 195 before George skittled out the response for 147.
