Company of Dreams brings Scheherazade and 1001 Nights at The Courtyard.
In this brand new production of one of the greatest stories of the ancient world, Scheherazade and her magical tales of genies, ghouls and faeries, of Sinbad, Aladdin and Ali Baba, are retold in thrilling dance. With a breath taking explosion of dance, fire and illusion, Company of Dreams will transport audiences to the exotic, dangerous and magical world of the Arabian Nights.
The full length oriental ballet features a unique blend of Middle Eastern dance with western dance forms such as contemporary dance, jazz and Latin, plus fire artistry, illusion and thrilling music, all wrapped up in a dramatic narrative to keep you on the edge of your seat.
Company of Dreams is a distinctive and inspirational new dance company which uses the art of middle eastern dance to improve health and wellbeing and promote cross cultural understanding. At the heart of their work is the Middle Eastern dance form generally known as bellydance – one of the world’s most misunderstood dances.
