The Phoenix Theatre Singers are preparing to celebrate their 10th anniversary with a special concert running from Wednesday, June 27 to Saturday, June 30 at The Phoenix Theatre.

The group was formed in 2008 with only a handful of singers but has gone from strength to strength and now has more than 40 members. Over the years they have delighted audiences at their sell out concerts, with medleys and harmonies from every music genre and this year promises to be their biggest and best concert yet.

As well as their annual summer and Christmas concerts, the Singers have performed various fundraising concerts for charitable causes and over the years they have helped to raise more than £10,000 for charities including Children In Need, St Michael’s Hospice, Ross Lions Club, Marie Curie, Herefordshire Riding for the Disabled and many more.

The programme this year includes some old favourites from past concerts as well as some exciting new offerings. Their first public performance at the theatre was a concert version of Show Boat, which will be featured alongside one of their very first group medleys from the smash hit musical Joseph.

The music sung by their soloists, duettists and small ensembles have all been carefully chosen to deliver a positive message. Celebration is the theme - echoed in songs like Dancing in the Street, You Raise Me Up, Feeling Good and Barcelona.
