Hereford Gilbert and Sullivan Society is one the road again with its 2018 'Broadway' tour, during which they will be reviving the hits of James Taylor, Gilbert and Sullivan, Stephen Sondheim, George Gershwin and others in a village near you this month. From G and S to Broadway concerts start at 7.30pm and tickets (£10) can be purchased on the door.
Hereford Gilbert & Sullivan Society will be entertaining audiences in Weobley Village Hall on Friday, June 22, Eardisley Village Hall on Saturday, June 23, Tarrington Village Hall on Friday, June 29 June and Mansel Lacy Church on Saturday, June 30.
These will be the last concerts to be presented under long-serving musical director, Alan Durman who has put much into the role over the years, as well as performing in most of the shows.
A successor will take over from Alan in the autumn when the society will be involved in preparations for next year’s staging of The Mikado.
