The Conquest Theatre in Bromyard will be presenting a classic piece of 20th century theatre when it stages Home by David Storey tonight, tomorrow and Saturday, June 21, 22 and 23.

This intriguing and darkly funny play was first performed to great acclaim in 1970 with a cast including John Gielgud and Ralph Richardson. Home features the interactions of five apparently unrelated and eccentric characters who meet in a seemingly insignificant garden. As the sun shines overhead and everybody waits for rain, we are introduced to the benign Harry, highly opinionated Jack, cynical Marjorie and flirtatious Kathleen who discuss anything that can pass the time. The play is a gentle mix of bizarre comedy, class, loves lost and homes that no longer exist. It is a window into dysfunctional lives where nothing is quite what it seems or what the characters would like it to be.

Tickets are available on-line at www.conquest-theatre.co.uk or from the box office on 01885 488575.
