A FORMER county councillor faces charges of criminal damage and harassment.

Glenda Vaughan-Powell was due to appear before Hereford Magistrates’ Court today but was not present due to ill health.

The 73-year-old from Charlton Avenue, Newton Farm, Hereford, represented the Belmont ward on Herefordshire Council for the Independents until 2015.

She is charged with causing criminal damage on Christmas Day 2017 and harassment between December 23 and Boxing Day last year.

Vaughan-Powell is due to appear before the same court next month.
