LOCAL business Tigg's have recently been awarded Family Business of the Year People's Choice winner for the Midlands.
The announcement was made at a reception in London on June 7 and Tigg's beat off tough competition from other local family businesses in the region to win the prize.
The awards were created by Family Business United; a voice for the global family business community, to celebrate UK family businesses. Family Business United champions family businesses of all sizes and sectors and the awards showcase the best of British family firms.
Jacob James, executive grandson and director of Tigg's, said. "We are absolutely delighted and very humbled to win the Family Business of the Year award for the Midlands. We are surrounded by lots of wonderful family businesses in the region, so it was an honour just to be recognised. Family is at the heart of Tigg's - my brother and I started the brand through one generation being inspired by another generation."
The definition of a family business Tigg's range of all-natural dressings are based on recipes handed down by their granny - Tigg.
Brothers Jacob and Sam are passionate about the brand - juggling farming at their property, Broadfield Court in Bodenham and frequently going on the road to promote the Tigg's business.
Jacob and Sam have also enlisted the help of their mother, father and sister with shows, sales, production and events.
The company pride themselves on using only ingredients that nature intended, with the vibrant colours simply down to the quality of products used, nothing artificial.
