THE county's food festival season got off to a flying start in Kington.
The town hosted its second Summer Food and Drink Festival last weekend, following on from the huge success of the previous years winter events.
The festival celebrated seasonal produce from the Marches and had something to tempt everybody’s tastebuds with street food, music, ciders, ales and spirits from border producers.
Hereford Food Festival will be held at the city's racecourse on Saturday and Sunday with organisers promising to bring together a selection of the finest food and drink suppliers from the county and beyond.
And Shobdon is also hosting a culinary cultural event of its own on the village airfield on June 30 and July 1.
The unique weekend combines the best local gastronomy, a host of aviation attractions, arts and crafts, demonstrations and live music.
