THREE men in balaclavas tried to steal a cash machine in Ledbury Road in Hereford today.
Police were called at 3.45am this morning to reports of three men using what is believed to be an angle grinder to try and cut the ATM machine at the Texaco garage.
Nothing was stolen and the men left the scene.
Inspector Daniel Pilkington said: "We are urging anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.
"We are particularly urging the public to report any sightings of a dark blue or black Audi S7 or A4 which may have substantial front end damage.
"There will a visible police presence in the area over the coming days to reassure the community as we continue our investigation."
