The Courtyard, in association with Orchestras Live, present a recital from Martin Roscoe.

One of the UK’s best-loved pianists, Martin Roscoe has had an extraordinary career spanning over four decades. Renowned for his versatility at the keyboard, Martin is equally at home in concerto, recital and chamber performances.

With a repertoire of over 100 concertos performed or recorded, Martin works regularly with many of the UK’s leading orchestras. He is also an equally prolific recitalist who has performed regularly across Europe, the Far East, Australasia and South Africa. Having had over 500 broadcasts, including seven BBC Prom appearances, Martin is one of the most regularly played pianists on BBC Radio 3 and is currently a Professor of Piano at the Guildhall School of Music in London.

The programme at The Courtyard will feature Mozart’s Fantasy in D minor K.397, Schumann’s Scenes from Childhood Op.15, Beethoven’s Sonata in C sharp minor Op.27/2 Moonlight and Debussy’s Children’s Corner alongside three pieces from Chopin.
