THE Duke of Gloucester's final stop in Leominster before he left the town was at Brightwells Auctioneers.

These photos show the Queen's cousin visiting the head offices and sales centre, where he was shown a variety of auctions which take place on the Easters Court site.

He was welcomed by the company’s joint managing directors, Richard Binnersley and Nick Gorst, who then presented the board of directors and executive team, before handing over to Owain Lloyd, head of fine art, who guided the Duke through the salerooms and introduced members of staff.

This was followed by Steve Powis, head of vehicle sales, giving the Duke an insight into the world of vehicles auctions.

The visit concluded with a viewing of the next auction of classic and vintage cars due to be held on May 16. This was hosted by head of department, Matthew Parkin.

The Duke showed particular interest in the historic vehicles, before unveiling a plaque to commemorate his visit.
