TWO people were taken to hospital following a crash on the A49 north of Hereford.
There was a crash between two cars in Wellington at around 2.30pm yesterday.
This resulted in queuing traffic both ways between Orchard Green (Wellington Marsh) and Moreton Road (Moreton on Lugg).
The road was closed while fire crews from Leominster and Hereford attended, as well as police and the ambulance service.
An ambulance spokesman said there was one person in one of the cars, who was uninjured.
He said in the second car there were two people, a man and a woman in their 70s. Both were taken to Hereford County Hospital.
The man, who was the driver, had chest and back pain, while the woman was suffering from abdominal pain.
