FORMER Hereford FC midfielder Calvin Dinsley said he was ‘gutted’ to have left the club and was taking time away from football.

In a message wrote on Instagram the 27-year-old who is a teacher in Ledbury hoped he would come back ‘stronger and fitter’ after being released from the club on Saturday.

He wrote: “Gutted to have left Hereford F.C. Love the lads and loved playing for the club. Need to take some time away from football before coming back stronger and fitter than ever! Huge thank you to everyone involved with Hereford for their support throughout my time at the club. Up the bulls.”

Hereford manager Pete Beadle told the club's website today that Dinsley was released to allow him to get game-time elsewhere.

Beadle told the website: “Calvin is an important part of our squad when fit but he has struggled to maintain fitness this season. We need him to go out and get his fitness back then we’ll look at him again in pre-season.”
