HOLMER C of E Academy Choir were delighted to be invited to take part in the Big Sing event, held at Birmingham Symphony Hall.
The school was one of three specially selected to take part and the fifty-strong choir, consisting of pupils aged 7-11, were required to tackle some challenging four part harmony. Whilst this sounded sufficiently impressive during rehearsals in the school hall, it was nothing compared to joining forces with other choirs with the incredible acoustics provided by the Symphony Hall.
This followed on from a particularly successful year for pupils and staff at the school.
They recently received a very pleasing report from Ofsted which, under the new inspection framework, indicated that the school may be outstanding.
Furthermore, they are delighted to have received a letter from the Rt Hon Nick Gibb congratulating them on their most recent results which put them in the top 2% of the country.
Staff at the school are incredibly proud of all pupils' achievements and welcome any visitors.
