CHARLES Court residents have been celebrating the Courtyard's Creative Ageing River Tales music and drama project with the unveiling of a mural which showcases the poignant memories evoked during the five-week artist residency with actors Ralph Bolland and Claire Coache.

Clarissa Haley, activities coordinator at Charles Court, said "the River Tales project not only inspired visual ideas which we developed within our art and craft groups it also enabled us to extend the life of a very engaging project". Charles Court resident Margaret Beavan said "the River Tales project was wonderful. We all enjoyed remembering happy days spent by the river Wye and how connected we still feel to it. I am very proud of the mural as we all made it together and I can see it every day when I go into the dining room."

There are now plans underway to create a River Tales themed dining experience at Charles Court. Tracy Clothier, home manager said "I am delighted to see the enjoyment brought to our residents, it is testimony to our ongoing working partnership with Creative Ageing at the Courtyard, Herefordshire's Centre for the Arts".
