A COUNTY golf club has been saved from closure.
Sapey Golf Club, near Bromyard, was due to close its Oak Course on (Friday, June 30), while the Rowan Course and Footgolf Site was set to close on August 11.
The club, owned by the same family since it was set up in 1990, had been put up for sale last October for £1.25million.
However, it was confirmed this week that the closure would no longer go ahead as the club had been bought by Wyldecrest Parks, one of the largest park and holiday home operators in the UK.
The business owns 58 parks across England, Scotland and Wales, including Saltmarshe Castle Park in Bromyard.
Wyldecrest Parks’ chairman Alfie Best visited the golf club today (Wednesday, June 28) to meet the staff.
