THE Knucklas Castle Community Land Project held their annual apple day in the orchard beneath the castle mound.
At the event there was lots to see and do including an apple cake competition, this was won by Lucy Casson and 2nd was Jackie Frankish.
There was the new Applympics with competitions including apple bobbing, apple and spoon race, apple fencing, apple fishing, and races with apples between knees and apples behind two children's backs.
The many visitors to the event were treated to a big variety of refreshments including apple cake, curry, local cider, and the traditional teas and cakes.
There was also a raffle, tombola, live music and dancing and everyone had the chance to pick an apple from the trees.
