A HEDGE has been ripped out of the ground and stolen from outside a couple's house in Tillington.
Beryl and Michael White were surprised to discover last Thursday morning that their 16 conifers, which were 1.5m tall, had been stolen.
The couple, in their mid 70s, said it would probably cost about £10 each to replace.
They asked readers to keep an eye out for the conifers as the thieves might be trying to sell them on.
Mr White said: "It is a sad reflection of our times that this can happen in rural Herefordshire."
The hedge was stolen between 9.30pm on July 20 and 6.30am on July 21. If you have any information call police on 101 quoting incident number 198S of 21 July.
