A PROJECT to gather oral history about the Bromyard Downs has begun.
The Bromyard Downs Common Association and Herefordshire Wildlife Trust is running a one-day tablet-film-making workshop for young people on April 16.
The Common People Project is working with the Rural Media Company, Conquest Theatre Youth Group and Queen Elizabeth College students to create a series of films and a theatre performance about life on the Downs. Oral history interviews of local people will provide the stories and with training and support the young people will develop the project from beginning to end.
The films and show will be performed at the finale of the project at the Conquest Theatre in May 2017.
If you are aged ten to 18 and want to be involved you can attend the free workshop on April 16 at the Falcon Mews in Bromyard from 9.30am to 4.30pm.
There are a limited number of spaces and you must sign up by April 8.
