JOHN Platts takes over from Jeff Jones as president of St Ethelbert Probus Club for the next 12 months.

After the AGM members were joined by their guests for a lunch at Hedley Lodge along with the presidents of the three other Probus Clubs in Hereford.

The club meets every Tuesday at the Cider Museum between 9.45am and 11.30am for coffee, followed by a varied and entertaining programme of speakers.

April 12 - Tracy Morris from Hereford City Council on Hereford City Civic and Community Development.

May 10 - Rosemary E Rigby MBE on Violette Szabo.

St Ethelbert Club has a range of members, with ages from 60s to 90s, representing all aspects of professional and business careers (Probus). There are a few vacancies at the moment so why not go along, see what happens and receive a very friendly welcome?
