A BROMYARD caravan park is the training base for Crawley featherweight boxing champion Ben ‘Duracell’ Jones.

Saltmarshe Castle Park will be the stage for Jones’ camp as he prepares to defend his WBO Intercontinental Featherweight title next month.

An open training session for the local community to watch him in action will take place at the park on Saturday from 1pm.

‘Duracell’ Jones arrived in Herefordshire today and is known for his non-stop action and remarkable fitness levels in the ring.

Jones, 33, is sponsored by Wyldecrest Parks, the owner of the Bromyard mobile park site and one of the largest park home operators in the UK.

The boxer will defend his WBO Intercontinental Featherweight title on April 9 at the K2 Leisure Centre in Crawley, with his opponent to be confirmed.

Jones also holds the WBO European, IBO Intercontinental and English super featherweight titles.
