HEREFORD FC may have been without a game today but their lead at the top of the Midland Football League has been cut to just two points.
Alvechurch's 2-0 win at Long Eaton this afternoon means the Worcestershire club will move above Hereford should they pick up maximum points at Quorn on Tuesday - one of two games 'Church have in hand on the Bulls.
Meanwhile, Westfields secured a fine 4-1 win over Boldmere St Michaels at allpay.park.
Pegasus Juniors picked up maximum points from their trip to Ellesmere Rangers with a 3-1 win in the West Midlands (Regional) League.
Ashley Lear, Cory Hyde and Carlos Moreira were on target for Peggy.
Elsewhere, Wellington drew 2-2 at Bewdley Town while Bromyard lost 1-0 at home to Wolverhampton Sporting Community.
