FOUR vehicles were destroyed while a barn collapsed after a fire ripped through the building in a village on the county border.
Fire crews from Hay-on-Wye, Talgarth, Eardisley, Brecon, Kington, Builth Wells, Crickhowell and Presteigne as well as a water carrier from Llandrindod Wells were scrambled to the barn fire in Clyro just before 11pm on Friday.
The barn, measuring 70-metres by 40-metres, contained hay bales and a combine harvester, JCB digger, tractor and a 4x4 vehicle which were all destroyed.
Crews used one main jet and three hose reel jets to put out the flames. The barn totally collapsed and the contents were left to burn off.
Crews left the site at around 8am on Saturday.
