Sarah Wells, club chairman of Hereford YFC, will be representing Herefordshire and the West Midland Area in the final of the national senior member of the year competition this weekend at the annual convention in Torquay.
Sarah proved she was the area's top senior member when she competed at the West Midland Area round in March, staving off strong competition.
Sarah first joined Hereford YFC in January 2004 and quickly went on to get involved at both club and county level, taking part in a wide variety of competitions and activities.
To win through to the final, Sarah had to demonstrate to the panel of judges her involvement in the Young Farmers' movement and her dedication to her club and county.
Sarah is a business and IT consultant and a very keen musician and horse rider.
At the West Midland Area round, Herefordshire also collected first place in the junior member of the year competition.
This was awarded to Peter Brewer, a young member of Welsh Newton YFC.
Peter will go on to compete in the final of the national junior member of the year at the national competitions day in October.
