DESPITE the prospect of a two-week holiday, a group of Hereford pupils and teachers headed back to school with the aim of examination success.
Students at Whitecross High School and Specialist Sports College voluntarily returned to the classroom during the Easter holidays for extra support from teachers to attain excellent GCSE results.
Over two-thirds of Year 11 pupils attended a revision camp across four days of the holidays to take advantage of a programme of events.
Not only were they revising vital topics, they also learnt about study skills and stress management - including anxiety-busting games involving marshmallows.
Deputy headteacher Tim Knapp said: "The revision camp is a way of not only supporting our Year 11 students, but of recognising and rewarding their work and dedication.
"We were determined they would enjoy themselves as well as beating all school records on the upcoming exams. They deserve success."
