THREE big events will be marked this weekend as the Royal Shakespeare Company celebrates the close of The Complete Works Festival, Shakespeare's 443rd birthday and 75 years of the Royal Shakespeare Theatre with an unmissable day of workshops, discussions and events The birthday marquee will be a hive of activity with a full programme of practical classes and a new Theatre Discovery Zone providing a close encounter with theatre craft - from wigs and make-up to hats and blood-bags. And at the riverside venue of Cox's Yard, a diverse programme of activities for all ages, including workshops and storytelling, music-making and costumes runs all day.

Starting at 11am on Sunday, there will be regular, free, backstage tours, as well as accompanied, paid-for, star tours taking visitors beyond the auditorium, and at the end of the day you can test your knowledge of the bard as Gyles Brandreth hosts The Great Shakespeare Quiz with panellists Antony Sher, Donald Stevenson, Sinead Cusack, Judi Dench, Juliet Stevenson, David Warner, Michael Wood and Ian McKellen.
