A FIRM favourite in the harness world will be returning to the helm after an absence of more than 16 years.
Conway Price will be resuming the position of chairman of Wales and West Harness Racing Ltd after his position announced at the annual meeting some time ago. Carol Jenkins of Tregaron is vice-chairman, Jill Lloyd, secretary, and Margaret Llanford, treasurer.
The first fixture scheduled for Allensmore on Sunday has been postponed to May 20, while the holiday Monday, May 7, meeting will now be held at Allensmore and not Ammanford.
Racing will consist of heats and finals at three W&W meetings with the grand final (prize money of £1000) being staged on September 9.
And there is the 10th anniversary of Ceredigion which will be celebrated in the grand manner of a £10,000 race weekend.
